Cozy Up for the Holidays

The holidays are in full swing, and Christmas is this weekend!  I just love this time of year when our homes are decorated, streets are lit, and hopefully by now all of our shopping is done, wrapped and under the tree.  Knowing how busy the holidays can be, this styled shoot was inspired by the wish we all have to just relaxing into the holidays and enjoying the ones you love most.

As a Southern California native, we don't exactly have a white Christmas, but I wanted to create the chilly feeling of winter with lots of woodsy elements and cool color palette.  The plush blankets and pillows make you want to just wrap up and get cozy.  As much as I love the outdoor elements, it wouldn't be me without mixing in some glam, this time with metallic pieces, Kate Spade china and gorgeous cut crystal.  There are a lot of different mixed elements, but it still feels easy and effortless.

The holidays mean gathering together, and to me that means fixing up some signature cocktails that I know my family and friends will love!  With these three holiday inspired drinks there is sure to be one for all of your guests this year.

WHITE CRANBERRY MIMOSA

If you're looking for a simple cocktail that is holiday themed, this is the one for you! Pour equal parts of the below ingredients to your into your champagne flute and garnish with fresh cranberries.
   - White Cranberry Juice
   - Your Favorite Champagne or Prosecco

PEAR & ROSEMARY COSMO

This one is a favorite of mine - the aroma is so invigorating!  Add the below ingredients to your cocktail shaker with ice, shake and pour into a festive glass.  Garnish with a pear slice and sprig of rosemary - trust me the rosemary is what makes this drink.
   - 1 1/2 oz. Pear Flavored Vodka
   - 1/2 oz. Conintreau or Triple Sec
   - 1/4 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
   - 1 ounce White Cranberry Juice

WHITE CHOCOLATE EGGNOG

This drink looks fabulous in a snifter glass and is a rich and festive addition to any winter gathering. Mix the below ingredients in your cocktail shaker with some ice and then pour just the drink into your snifter glass leaving the ice behind.  Garnish with some whipped cream and a light dusting of cinnamon.
   - 8 ounces of Eggnog
   - 1 ounce Whipped Cream Vodka
